I did my Practical driving assessment here and the person was and absolute gem. Assessor was very calm and cool and kind. Definitely recommend doing your assessment there. Just be sure to state what you are doing to the assessor always no matter what you are doing ( eg. “looking at blind spot, look for pedestrians” etc) Slow down in areas where there are pedestrians. The staff are always very happy and joyful too.

My partner and I visited DOT today in order to reinstate my license this morning. I previously visited and was asked to complete a medical, which I completed today. Upon arriving, I was assigned to a desk where I spoke to a woman who simply told me I would have to wait a further 2 weeks until my license would be approved, and little to no further information was provided. I was shocked, and turned to leave until a man ushered me over to his desk.The man (Calvin) had been the same who assisted me before, and asked if I was returning in regards to the same situation. After explaining what we had just been told, he promptly called through to a department in order to hasten the process. Calvin was so calm, reassuring and kind throughout the process, and went above and beyond to help us until my license was approved. He clarified multiple details to make sure we understood every piece of information that was being provided to us. So instead of returning home and waiting up to two weeks, my license was approved in minutes!I couldn’t thank Calvin enough for taking the time out of his day to help, while also assisting other people. For this, I’d give him 5 stars! My rating of four just goes to say that I can only hope that many others within DOT follow his benevolent service, and not cut corners like what would have happened if he had not pulled us aside.

Absolutely no test booking time available even up till march of next year. These lot run a business where certified instructors book all the available test time slots and make learner drivers pay for the instructors' car to do the test. It is usually called the test package" and costs around $150-$300 on top of the actual test time. Some shady stuff going on!!! SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED!!"

Moved here for 2 weeks now we have a better understanding of BUREAUCRAT thanks to DOT.My partner needs to transfer his driver license to WA, West Perth office picked up a teeny tiny issue and declined. On the same day he went to Joondalup office with the same documents, application accepted with no questions asked.I need to transfer my car plate from interstate, Joondalup office declined bcz of an “unaccepted” document, again I went to Mirrabooka office same day with same papers they processed the transfer quickly.So here’s my advice: If you are declined, go to another office to try your luck. And pray for never have to deal with them again.

If I could submit 0 stars I would. My partner has been failed for the 6th time now. The driver asked him to go through some constructions and accelerated in the area (oh wow, please don't accelerate in a construction area especially when there's traffic and people let you through). My partner has been going for his license for 3 years now. the whole Department of Transport is CORRUPT. You're running people's futures and relationships.

Unlike many other dissatisfied visitors, I visits here have been rather pleasant. Yes, the driving tests fail rate here is high. But most of the examiners are quite pleasant and are fail in their appraisal. The staff are quite patient and the wait time is not as atrocious as at some other DoT offices.

Cannot book a driving test. NO locations in WA have availability. Absolutely ridiculous. How do you even book a test if there are no sessions!!!?!?!? Instructors in the past booked all the sessions but that was stopped so why is there still no sessions? RIDICULOUSHow the heck are you supposed to get your licence!?Add more sessions.

We needed to put a car in our name and change our interstate licence to WA. A huge thank you to Amanda for her knowledge and patience with us (seniors!). Amanda went out of her way to make our experience easy.
